They all sound quite promising, but there were a few products in particular that we wanted to take a closer look at…
Formulyst Gentle Foaming Cleanser: Suitable for All Skin Types
The name of this skin cleanser immediately had us feeling doubtful. Most foaming cleansers aren’t gentle at all.
However, a quick look at the ingredient list (and a quick look it was, since there are only six ingredients on there) and we were impressed.
Botanical extracts feature heavily, with the cleansing action of this formula coming from sodium olivate, another natural ingredient derived from olives.

Formulyst Ultimate Youth Concentrate: Banish Fine Lines and Wrinkles
In addition to containing five plant-based peptides as active ingredients, this anti-aging serum is also formulated with folic acid extract.
This ingredient has been proven to visibly reduce fine lines, thanks to the way in which it increases natural collagen production [1].
With multiple humectants, including hyaluronic acid, this serum is also intensely hydrating, making it a great one for dry skin.
It’s a shame that vitamin C isn’t included in this formula, since this is another one of those anti-aging must-haves.
However, if you’re willing to make multiple purchases, you’ll find that ingredient in the brand’s Active Serum.
Formulyst Microdermabrasion Exfoliator: Clears Dead Skin Cells
The dermatology world tends to frown upon face scrubs these days.
Most are far too abrasive, causing more harm than good.
However, the Formulyst Microdermabrasion Exfoliator makes use of fine aluminum oxide crystals, meaning that you can safely buff away those dead skin cells.
The inclusion of humectants and botanical extracts in this formula also gives it the potential to hydrate the skin while brightening skin tone.
Formulyst Anti-Dark Circle Eye Cream: For Bright and Perky Eyes

Caffeine perks and tightens the skin while Butcher’s Broom extract energizes and brightens.

The Formulyst Lifting & Wrinkle Smoothing Cream contains moringa seed oil and shea butter to moisturize the skin, plus the lesser-known Evodia Rutaecarpa extract for its proven anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties [2].
Use this Formulyst cream regularly to soften fine lines and achieve a smoother skin feel.
Formulyst Anti-Aging Night Cream with Retinol: Wake Up With a Glow
Retinol is a must in every anti-aging routine.
It fights free radical damage, boosts collagen production, and balances an uneven skin tone.
This Formulyst cream uses encapsulated retinol technology to deliver a higher concentration of the ingredient to your skin cells.
Safflower seed oil then locks this all in place, leaving you with great skin.

On the other hand, while the moisturizers from the brand look to be adequate, there are better options out there. Formulyst’s targeted formulas are great, but no one wants to be using three moisturizers each night to treat various age-related issues.
